There are three main pieces of legislation governing industrial relations in Antigua and Barbuda. The Labour Code of 1975, the Industrial Court Act of 1976 (as amended) and the Civil Service Act of 1984.
The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Code imposes minimum conditions on the conduct of Industrial relations and establishes a system for compulsory recognition of Trade Unions by Employers.
The current single minimum wage is EC$8.20 (US$3.04) per hour.
