The 2019 UNDP Human Development Report (HDR) ranked Antigua and Barbuda 74th out of 189 countries, placing the nation in the high human development category. 

Antigua and Barbuda’s HDI of 0.776 is above the average of 0.750 for countries in the high human development group and above the average of 0.759 for countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

 Antigua and Barbuda ranked 5th in the Caribbean in the World Bank Ease of Doing Business Survey 2020.
